About Me

I know what workplace pressure feels like from the inside, having led on projects and managed a successful demanding service for many years. I bring both professional training and lived experience to the work I do. On a personal note, I am a parent to adult children in their twenties.

You'll notice nature-themed images throughout my website - they reflect how much the natural world means to me, both personally and as a therapist. It's a place I find calm and clarity, and I've tried to bring some of that feeling into my garden room, where sessions currently take place.

I am a BACP Accredited counsellor with a Postgraduate Diploma in Humanistic Psychotherapeutic Counselling from Brighton University. I have been practicing for over 10 years, with 8 years experience employed as a Senior Therapist and for the last year have worked solely in private practice. Additional qualifications include a PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status and a Masters in Sports Development, from earlier careers in education and sport.

My background also spans Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) and Health Insurance counselling, working as a counsellor supporting substance using adults for Change Grow Live in East Sussex and offering adult bereavement counselling for Cruse Bereavement Care in Brighton.

I maintain regular clinical supervision and, as an accredited member of the BACP, abide by their code of ethics and good practice. I hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate and full professional insurance.
